OPENING DAY AT THE DEL MAR POLO GROUNDS
DEL MAR POLO GROUNDS
Most of our members who are interest in cars, boats, aircraft are also interested in horses. Here in San Diego we have a rare opportunity to have our own polo grounds here in Del Mar. For opening day each year, the night before they will have a vintage “Fly In” with between 6 to 18 aircraft. They arrive the evening before and land directly on the polo fields and then taxi to a position on one side of the field to wait for the polo matches the followijg day. In 2016 they also had a "Hunt" demonstration compete with horsemen and hounds!
